The Bhagavad Gita: Yoga is Breaking the Bond with Suffering

The Bhagavad Gita: Yoga is Breaking the Bond with Suffering with Ravi Ravindra

*Location: Parkdale Community Centre, 3512 5th Ave NW (Nifty Fifty’s building)

All spiritual teachings call for a radical transformation of our being, freeing us from our conditioned self, and moving from reaction to response. Suffering which occupies our psyche and body keeps us deeply connected to our past.

Yoga assists a practitioner to become increasingly free of the attachment to suffering and Krishna explicitly says in the Bhagavad Gita that yoga is breaking the bond with suffering.

Join us for this profound evening lecture on the meaning of the sacred writing, The Bhagavad Gita.

This is a rare opportunity to hear international expert and author, Ravi Ravindra explain the meaningful dialogue between Arjuna who is conflicted on the battlefield of life and Krishna who is responding to his despair.

As relevant today as when it was written ages ago, the ‘Gita’ depicts the human struggle of suffering and conscience. A cornerstone of all yoga teachings, the Gita holds definitive wisdom on the meaning of life.

This lecture will give attendees a context for going deeper to explore the teachings of the Gita.

There will be a 30 minute meditation to complete the evening.
